To give you this change in your life now, here are four tips on how you can have an upgraded fitness routine:

1. Get Motivated

One of the biggest hurdles to improving your fitness routine and even sticking to it is finding the motivation to get going. Significantly when your routine doesn’t change, eventually, you may lose interest in exercising or the effort to stay fit.

The core foundation of upgrading your fitness routine to do more is to get motivated. Keeping this ‘end goal’ in mind can push you, particularly on the days when you’re just struggling to find that interest to get up. It can be as simple as having enough energy to chase after your kids or as life-changing as finally shedding off the excess weight that’s keeping you obese.

If you’re struggling with this, here are five tips to help you wake that motivation up:

  • Pick a cause, and join events like marathons that support this cause. It can be anything close to your heart, such as if a family member passed away from cancer, or perhaps you want to fight for suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

Because each session is fast, you’re less likely to feel like you deserve that ‘reward’ for exercising. You may even tend to feel guilty when you cheat off your routine simply because you know you aren’t doing much with the half-hour of exercise you have.

3. Believe That ‘Abs Are Made In The Kitchen’

If you’ve long just focused your fitness routine on exercising, a good way for you to upgrade is to start being more conscious of your meals. It’s time for you to believe in the saying, ‘Abs are made in the kitchen.’ No matter how much physical activity you do and how often you inject this in your life, if you’re not eating well, then your fitness routine stays the same. You may not be losing as much as you would’ve originally wanted to.

So, it’s time to start whipping up healthier meals. This may sound intimidating, but it’s very doable, with the help of these tips to guide you:

  • Prepare the proper storage as you organize so that it’s easier for you to meal prep and preserve your ingredients to keep healthy ingredients fresh for longer;
  • Pick your recipes, as you’re more inclined to maintain healthy cooking when the recipes are easy enough and less intimidating for you to follow;
  • Focus on healthy cooking methods, like grilling, boiling, and steaming.

4. Take Good Care Of Your Feet

Among all of your body parts, the most important that you have to take care of if you want to increase your body’s potential to do more in every workout session is your feet.

The reason behind this is simple. Your feet carry your whole body and enable your body to move, perform, and do the routines. So, if your feet aren’t in good condition, then you can’t expect your body to be able to do as much as it’s supposed to in every workout session.

After working out, if you notice that your feet are sore or tired, then give them a break by relaxing them. The remedy can be as simple as applying ice on your sore feet or having them massaged. In doing so, you can minimize downtime when you can’t exercise because your feet cannot function.
